Butler Protein Processing Plant

Located in the southeast corner of Wisconsin in Waukesha County, Butler is home to over 1,800 residents. With its small town charm, Butler is an attractive community for families of all ages – the area features safe and friendly neighborhoods, tree-lined streets, a diverse economy and welcoming people.

Acquired in 2001, Cargill is one of the largest employers in the Butler area, proudly employing approximately 500 people. Our facility provides frozen ground beef patties and value-added products to some of the largest restaurants and food distribution companies in the country. Our team at the Butler facility works hard every day to create high quality products and uphold responsible practices. Employees donate time and services to a variety of organizations such as: Cargill Cares, Butler Night Out, Mexican Fiesta, United Way, Hunger Task Force, Milwaukee Rescue Mission, Hank Aaron State Trail and other various school programs and sponsorships.
