Job Purpose and Impact

The Digital Sales and Implementation Specialist for Pork - North America (Open to Remote) is responsible for developing and executing Cargill Digital Solutions’ commercial vision and achieve short- and medium-term goals for the customer accounts that will drive growth for Cargill Animal Nutrition, while providing customers with software and technology solutions to improve customer production and profitability as a key part of the account team.

This role will focus on explaining the value of the Digital portfolio of software and technology in close collaboration with local Cargill nutrition pork sales teams. As such, we seek a seasoned professional that can work independently, knows the pork industry well, has excellent customer relationship skills, and is able to become a subject matter expert in applying different technology in pork production.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute the sales planning process for complex accounts for multiple value propositions and solutions as part of the account plan.
  • Develop and structure complex sales proposals that represent maximum value optimization to customer and business.
  • Develop strong client relationships that provide significant input to planning product, price, and service strategies.
  • Work with Cargill Animal Nutrition sales teams to align on goals and build actions plans to achieve results.
  • Analyze competitor capabilities to determine gaps and to position offerings against competitive options.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum four years of work experience in value added sales solution in pork nutrition or animal health industry.
  • Minimum four years of work experience in value added sales in pork nutrition, animal health, or pork production.
  • Project management experience or go-to-market plans.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% within North America.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven sales performance that demonstrates high accountability, strong initiative, with a sense-of-urgency and an entrepreneurial approach.
  • Experience with implementing or using digital technology (installation, demos, training) within the pork industry.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with Excel or PowerPoint.
  • Solid interpersonal skills; being an effective listener, verbal, and written communication.

Applicant Information

The expected salary for this position is $100,000 base. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
