Utility Technician

Job Purpose and Impact
The Utility Technician will operate and control water treatment plant equipment (Pre Treatment System, Ultra Filtration System & Reverses Osmosis System) with knowledge of processes and under regular guidance. In this role, you will regulate the flow of water through the operation of electric motors, pumps and valves in compliance with safety, quality and regulatory policies and procedures.
Key Accountabilities
- With limited guidance, regulate flow of raw water into treatment plant by operating and controlling electric motors, pumps and valves while maintaining housekeeping in the water plant area.
- Follow directions to complete the startup, shut down and process monitoring of the water pre treatment area.
- Understand production outcomes, quantity and quality to ensure environmental and food safety requirements are within specifications.
- Assist in conversations with environment, health and safety and food safety, quality and regulatory authorities to identify the most effective approach for implementing and monitoring safety policies and procedures.
- May help oversee water plant operations to ensure teams are following policies and procedures related to employee, food safety and environmental compliance.
- Complete startup, shutdown and monitoring of water plant area.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma's Degree (D3) or equivalent with 2 years of experience in the operation of water treatment facilities
- Fresh Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Preferred Qualifications
- Having 3 years experience in the operation of water treatment facilities in Palm Oil, Petrochemicals, Power Plant, Oleochemicals or similar industries
