Data Privacy Specialist
Job Purpose and Impact
The Data Privacy Specialist will participate in designing, developing, implementing and fostering compliance and awareness of the organization's privacy program. In this role, you will apply privacy knowledge and experience to support Cargill’s privacy compliance efforts and day-to-day operations of the Global Privacy Office.
Key Accountabilities
• Conduct privacy risk assessments, lead privacy incidents, respond to individual rights, manage requests and support other aspects of the Global Privacy Office
• Maintain records of processing activities and inventories.
• Serve as subject matter resource for the Global Privacy Office in Asia Pacific.
• Update and maintain privacy policies and procedures as required.
• Conduct privacy training and awareness sessions.
• Support implementation of privacy compliance activities.
• Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Data Privacy work experience and knowledge of privacy principles
• Experience working in global companies
• Fluent or advanced English level
• Willingness to obtain IAPP certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• IAPP certification (CIPP or CIPM or CIPT) or comparable privacy certification
• Knowledge of data privacy and data handling practices, especially in Asia Pacific
