This position is in our Ag & Trading enterprise, where we connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. We also offer a range of farmer services and risk management solutions.

The Senior Merchant manages a dedicated supplier base and executes transactions to ensure commodities meet production requirements for timing, volume, quality and cost. In this role, you will buy and sell commodities with producers, country elevators, feed and food mills, and both domestic and international processors.
Key Accountabilities
- Originate and sell commodities to regional customers to reach target volumes and gain revenue.
- Generate market, position and profit and loss reports based on data and specialty reports gathered by junior team members.
- Collaborate with transportation and logistics, quality assurance, field representatives and credit manager to ensure efficient execution.
- Research and analyze various freight opportunities in the marketplace to maximize margin.
- Work directly with customers, suppliers and business counterparts to develop business solutions to meet their needs.
- Be fully accountable for daily and monthly profit & loss (P&L) calculations, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Maintain and regularly update the country-level supply and demand (SnD) balance, integrating both internal and external market intelligence.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- English: Professional fluency
