Job Purpose and Impact
The Controller will help to establish and maintain accounting policies and fiscal controls and help prepare moderately complex financial reports and safeguard the organization's assets. In this role, you will help build accurate moderately complex financial statements that comply with established requirements and policies.
Key Accountabilities
- Apply accounting techniques and standard practices to classify and record financial transactions.
- Help maintain and monitor the control of accounts and records in areas such as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, revenue, fixed assets, and accruals.
- Follow up on daily activities, i.e. bank postings and admin, billing, IC payments and receipts, customer collection and AR clearing.
- Balance sheet review ensuring accounts are properly reconciled and supported, with no ageing items.
- Perform P&L review, month-end closing activities, SG&A, cost analysis and budget monitoring and analysis.
- Support external audit and tax inspections.
- Draft segments of statements and reports and begin to handle assignments involving data analysis.
- Review and create standard accounting report packages.
- Contribute input to new setup and changes in existing financial applications to optimize effectiveness.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficient in both verbal and written English communication (level C1).
Preferred Qualifications
- Five years of related work experience.
- Experienced in using SAP/JDE and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in banking relationship management and treasury admin activities.
- Experience in working with multiple businesses and/or international business experience.
- Experienced in supporting a team culture of continuous improvement, process optimization and intellectual curiosity.
