This position is in our Ag & Trading enterprise, where we connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. We also offer a range of farmer services and risk management solutions.
Job Purpose and Impact
- The Senior Professional, Commercial Sustainability job performs complex activities to run and maintain commercially orientated systems by designing and implementing new processes and tools to support commercial enablement in a manner that delivers on our purpose to nourish the world in a safe, responsible and sustainable way. With minimal supervision, this job leads the implementation of a comprehensive commercial sustainability product and service marketing cycle by reviewing identified market potential, establishing pricing and market strategies, estimating potential sales and target customers, and defining promotional activities. This job collaborates with internal teams to provide technical support on commercial sustainability topics, manages customer account management and business partnerships, and helps to balance economic growth with environmental stewardship and social responsibility.
Key Accountabilities
- STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION: Implements commercial sustainability strategies set forth by senior management by reviewing identified potential markets and pricing and market strategies to implement a comprehensive product and service marketing cycle.
- EDUCATION & INFLUENCE: Reviews educational material for internal partner forums, workshops, and meetings to ensure effectiveness in raising awareness of the organization's commercial sustainability purpose and goals, educating on the importance of sustainability, and demonstrating how individual roles contribute to sustainability efforts.
- COLLABORATION: Collaborates with internal teams, including sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain, to implement commercial sustainability initiatives to align commercial activities with sustainable practices, products, and services that address customer demands for environmentally friendly and socially responsible solutions.
- INDUSTRY EXPERTISE: Stays updated on industry, category and market trends, regulations, and emerging practices related to commercial sustainability and shares relevant insights with more senior team members.
- VALUE PROPOSITION DEVELOPMENT: Analyzes customer feedback and communicates insights on perceptions, preferences, and needs to support customer account management, improving product offerings and defining the commercial sustainability value proposition.
- CUSTOMER INTERACTIONS: Interacts with customers by reviewing needs assessments, meeting to address concerns, approving the development of resources to improve customer understanding of technical topics, and designing commercial sustainability customer solutions.
- MARKET ANALYSIS: Reviews market research, identified target customers, and promotional activities for commercial sustainability products or services to enable informed decisions on production, resources, and revenue projections to improve sales and market impact.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Experience working directly with farmers to deliver solutions and collect field data.
- Knowledge of environmental outcomes, sustainability markets, and certification standards.
- Demonstrated ability to work on a remote team and conduct business in a virtual capacity.

The expected salary for this position is $100,000 – $120,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
