Electromechanic
JOB OBJECTIVE AND IMPACT
The Electromechanic - evening will be in charge of preventive maintenance, production line support, equipment installation, development and installation of mechanical, electrical and automated systems according to Cargill's established standards. In this role, you will perform analyses and tests on equipment to maintain its economic and safety performance.

2 shifts available, day and evening.
Hourly rate: $25.79 - $33.66 depending on experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for dismantling, assembling and routine work on all sanitation-related equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment
- Respond to production calls. In addition, the electromechanic is responsible for the proper operation of equipment. They must ensure that production starts on time in the morning.
- Carry out certain welding, fabrication and modification work
- Carry out certain improvement and equipment replacement projects
- Repair equipment in the workshop, ensure workshop cleanliness, fill out work orders, requisitions and other forms.
- Maintain plant cleanliness.
- Comply with food safety standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must have a D.E.P. in electromechanics or industrial mechanics in Quebec or Quebec equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position and in an industrial environment
- Ability to perform the following physical tasks such as: bending, crouching, climbing ladders, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, standing for long periods of time
- Software knowledge
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays or different shifts with advance notice
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certificate in equipment connection
- Knowledge of food industry standards (HACCP)
- Experience in T.I.G. welding
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Self-reliance, resourcefulness, initiative and dynamism
- Familiarity with labeling equipment (Bizerba)
- Familiarity with packaging equipment (Omori, Ulma)
- Good communication skills
- Safe working mentality and behavior
