This position is in Cargill’s animal nutrition and health business, where we improve animal lives through better nutrition. Our team researches, innovates and creates solutions that deliver healthy results for our customers.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Global Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of the global marketing strategy and marketing annual plans for the ruminant specie. In this role, you will apply full knowledge of the business, market, customer drivers and species offerings to develop specific customer driven marketing strategies, value propositions, segmentations, experiences, targeted communications and new customer solutions that accomplish business and financial goals. The main focus is to support growth of B2B animal nutrition and health solutions business via efficient marketing initiatives.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the execution of the marketing strategy and annual plans for the assigned species, incorporating brands and customer segments as relevant and in alignment with broader business objectives.
- Partner with broader marketing teams and cross functionally to lead the execution of comprehensive species promotional programs, campaigns and other marketing activations in alignment with budgets and relevant competitive, customer and market dynamics.
- Partner with cross functional teams to understand and apply customer needs, competitor intelligence, market trends and consumer behaviors to contribute to decisions for the product or category, improve overall positioning and advance customer value capture.
- Execute initiatives related to innovation, new product development, co creation of customer solutions and product commercialization to maintain the health and growth of the species product portfolio.
- Lead new products, services or solutions launches as agreed in the species plans, collaborating across commercial and technical functions to optimize customer engagement and demand.
- Lead initiatives to improve customer experience for the assigned species, developing and activating differentiated customer value propositions.
- Lead the development and execution of the brand strategy for the assigned specie’s portfolio.
- Develop and deliver relevant marketing trainings, events and collateral on the product or category in collaboration with the broader marketing teams.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of four years of marketing experience
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- Flexibility to work across multiple time zones
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in value proposition development
- Experience in marketing planning, campaign planning and execution, performance measurement, demand generation and activation
- Experience in agriculture, animal nutrition and health
External Applicant Information
Location: This role is open to candidates in in the Midwest region of the US, with a preference for those near a Cargill facility.
The expected salary for this position is approximately $120,000 to $140,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal.
