Parts Room Supervisor

Job Purpose and Impact
The Parts Room Supervisor is responsible for leading inventory control through Cargill’s SAP reordering system, invoicing and receiving issues, and completing all necessary paperwork. In this role, you will set performance expectations, hold your team accountable to those expectations, and be responsible for product safety, employee health and safety, and parts room activities.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the day-to-day parts room operations including receiving, cycle counting, troubleshooting, and inventory accuracy in addition to developing, implementing, administering and evaluating policies and procedures
- Coordinate with external vendors and internal teams to ensure proper execution of orders and inventory management
- Review, complete, and ensure the accuracy of parts room related material master data
- Ensure compliance with safety and food safety codes, policies, and procedures of the company and the standards established by regulatory agencies
- Ensure that all parts room personnel are trained on all required equipment
- Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions for your direct reports
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of one year of related work experience
- Fluent in English (speak, read, and write)
- Ability to climb stairs, with or without a reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
- Two years of experience utilizing SAP
- One year of supervisory experience
- Inventory experience in a food processing environment
- Experience operating a forklift
- Experience working with external vendors
- Troubleshooting experience through critical thinking and proactive and innovative solutioning
