This position is in Cargill’s animal nutrition and health business, where we improve animal lives through better nutrition. Our team researches, innovates and creates solutions that deliver healthy results for our customers.
Job Purpose and Impact
We are seeking a Trial Leader with a strong interest or experience in digitalization and experimental research, particularly someone who enjoys working in Excel and/or other statistical tools and contributing to digital transformation in trial design and execution. Candidates with shrimp-related experience will be especially valuable. This role combines hands-on trial execution with a forward-looking approach to digital tools and data handling, making it ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of science, technology, and operations.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for planning, reporting and quality assurance of trials and keep an ongoing and active dialogue with researchers, lab and technicians.
- Lead and support digitalization initiatives within trial operations, including data handling, reporting tools, and process optimization.
- Contribute to continuous evaluation and improvement of experimental methodology, daily routines and procedures.
- Works with scientists and processing technicians to ensure accurate formulation and ingredient procurement.
- Ensure trials comply to the safety program and animal care policies.
- Provides training and engage technicians for trial execution.
- Support the development and execution of shrimp trials
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Proficient computer skills, especially in Excel
- Good written and verbal communication skills in Norwegian and English language
- Able to work independently, and with other team members, with minimal supervision
Preferred qualifications
- Analytical Statistic knowledge
- Experience or strong interest in digitalization and use of digital tools in research.
- Analytical/statistical knowledge and experience with databases or development of computer tools, Power BI.
- Master’s degree in animal science, nutrition, or a related field.
- Appropriate Animal Care Training certification.
- Experience in running research trials, especially involving shrimp.
- Willingness to work weekend shifts as needed.
