This position is in Cargill’s food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Supply and Inventory Planner II will contribute to coordinating long term supply chain strategies across networks to address capacity issues and production location decisions in support of business goals. In this role, you will monitor key integrated business planning performance indicators, cost to serve performance data and help coordinate cross functional work teams to meet high customer service standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain, plan and coordinate production at 3rd party external manufacturers and suppliers against forecasted demand by matching up BOM requirements with required production needs.
- Generate and perform transactions within formalized ERP system not limited to SAP
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Develop gap coverage plans during inventory shortages.
- Represent supply chain in product line meetings and new product development meetings by sharing expertise in their supply area and capabilities of manufacturing/supply partners
- Conduct routine inventory reconciliation at 3rd party manufacturing locations to confirm consumption against known production.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- SAP or Equivalent ERP experience with daily transactions
Preferred Qualifications
- Three years of experience with at least one in supply and inventory planning
- Planning and/or procurement in a food production environment

The expected salary for this position is $68,000 - $85,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
