This position is in Cargill’s agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make and deliver essential products.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Junior Production Supervisor has the operational leadership of the production team and manages his/her team in daily operations. As a Junior Production Supervisor you will identify (technical and structural) improvements and participate in projects. In this role, you will also handle complex, administrative and technical issues under minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff. The Junior Production Supervisor is also the back-up of production manager, during his absence.
Work 5 days per week in our chemical plant in Frankfurt.
Key Accountabilities
- Execute routine operations of production area, ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee, food and feed safety and environmental compliance.
- Leading production team (4 shifts with 5 operators).
- Develop operational and personal plans and monitors routine operations for all production processes.
- Monitor production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications.
- Achieve the unit's key performance indicators and develops activities aimed at their improvement.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and improve the standards to ensure the stable production and quality.
- Develop internal standards, procedures, instructions and staff training in accordance with the requirements of the company.
- Other duties as assigned by production manager.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Chemical/ Process/ Mechanical) or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years of related work experience in production environment (preferred food and chemical)
- English and German on good level (work on site in both languages)
- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Good communication skills
- The ability to lead and motivate a team
- Basic knowledge of lean six sigma tools
- Knowledge of process safety and food safety concepts
