Job Purpose and Impact

Location: Gouda, Netherlands 

The role is a full time permanent Monday-Friday position. Ideally based 5 days per week at the Gouda site (minimum 4 days per week). This position is part of  Cargill's Bioindustrial buisness (CBI). CBI is a Global business serving non-feed and non-food applications with biobased chemistries, mainly from agricultural products (grains and oilseeds) including construction, dielectric fluids, automotive lubricant systems and cosmetics. 

This role will partner with key stakeholders at the Gouda location, to drive our people and culture strategy, as well as lead the implementation of complex solutions to improve performance and engagement, workforce plans, learning programs, talent activities, solving sensitive matters and support Works Council negotiations. 

The position holder is an individual contributor and will report to the Senior HR Director - Cargill Bioindustrial

Key Accountabilities

  • Translate Cargill’s business people & culture priorities into impactful strategic local plans and execute them for mixed professional and manufacturing workforce of c. 300 employees
  • Partner with key leaders on the execution of strategic local people and culture plans
  • Provide partnership and solutions to improve performance, engagement, recruiting and retention to increase productivity and mitigate people risks while also building an inclusive culture
  • Play a leadership role with the Collective Labor Agreement Committee and orchestrate effective partnerships between Gouda site leadership, union representatives, Netherlands Works Councils, and Cargill Labor Relations teams
  • Deploy workforce plans, learning programs, talent acquisition activities and other talent programs and projects at the Gouda location 
  • Communicate and adopt diversity, equity and inclusion policies and practices leveraging data, reports and dashboards to measure and analyse human resources and business performance metrics at the Gouda location
  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries received on site and identify themes, triage every day matters, partner with other Netherlands based HR colleagues to investigate serious and sensitive matters and manage on site audits

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or another degree area and/ or proven HR experience in the Netherlands 
  • Experience in HR in a Manufacturing environment would be strongly preferred but other relevant sectors e.g. R&D would be actively considered
  • Strong knowledge and practical application of Dutch Employment Law and Unions/ Works Councils - Essential 
  • Fluent Dutch and English - Essential 
  • Ability to partner effectively, build credibility and trust at all levels of an organization
