This position is in our Ag & Trading enterprise, where we connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. We also offer a range of farmer services and risk management solutions.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Oilseeds & Meal Trader will participate in face to face and remote selling to both new and existing customers. In this role, you will contribute to generating income and controlling risks by performing most routine or complex trading work.
Key Accountabilities
- Contribute to identification of trading opportunities, development and implementation of trading strategies, potential counterparties and the growth of existing key counterparty relationships.
- Originate, procure and sell commodities, execute and monitor short term trading strategies and books for oilseeds and meals, market or customer based on speculative and hedged positions.
- Collaborate with transportation and logistics, quality assurance, customer managers and credit manager to ensure efficient execution
- Monitor trading positions and associated risks ie m2m and market exposures, credit risks, commodity health risk
- Reconcile routine or repetitive profit and loss estimates and reports that require some interpretation of trading practices and procedures.
- Track customer and competitor activity and industry trends.
- Maintain own datasets, oversight on S&D of oilseeds and meals, liaise with TDS on running S&D estimation processes, tracking data points related to demand and disappearance estimates
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience
