Flock Management Supervisor

This position is in our Food Enterprise where we are committed to serving food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with a complete range of innovative ingredients and branded products. Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Flock Management Supervisor will be responsible for a designated group of contract producers. This position will work closely with those contract producers as well as the Grow Out Manager, to arrive at solutions and make decisions that will positively impact their area of responsibility and the profitability of the business.
Key Accountabilities
- Working with contract growers to ensure compliance of policies, laws, and best management practices (including brooding)
- Maintaining accurate records of billing, mortality, settlements, etc., in the designated system
- Pulling fat and blood samples for flock processing
- Communicating and working with the grow-out manager and veterinarian staff
- Working with support departments to ensure and deliver compliance changes as necessary
- Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions for direct reports
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of one year of work experience
- No exposure to or ownership of any poultry, birds, or swine
- Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
- Experience utilizing Amino system software
