Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.

Job Purpose and Impact

As Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory Manager, reporting to the Haubourdin site (production of starches and their derivatives), you are responsible for the planning, deployment and continuous improvement of Quality and Food Safety Management Systems that meet regulatory requirements, customer expectations in the industrial, food and pharmaceutical sectors, and Group-developed standards.
This includes improving food safety and quality culture across all employees and developing the FSQR team.

Key Accountabilities

  • Food Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure regulatory compliance of our operations and products. Act as the primary point of contact with local regulatory authorities.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the maintenance of the quality system to meet Cargill requirements, customer expectations, and applicable standards. Manage customer and third‑party audits. Proactively identify risks and implement appropriate control measures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and deploy continuous improvement programs in areas such as in‑process quality control, laboratory processes, Root Cause Analysis, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Act as a key partner to the Plant Manager for the implementation and monitoring of quality and GMP budgets.
  • Performance: Be a member of the plant leadership team. Implement the Food Safety, Regulatory and Quality strategy defined by the Group. Actively participate as a member of the European Group Quality team.
  • Team Management: Ensure the development of quality teams and organization. Manage and control the departmental budget. Oversee recruitment, training and performance management of the entire team.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Higher education in Quality Assurance or Quality Control
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control, preferably in the chemical or agri‑food industry
  • Recognized expertise in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 22000, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with HACCP and product quality controls
  • Ability to propose practical and effective solutions to enhance food safety, regulatory compliance and product quality
  • Working languages: French and English (50% / 50%)
