This position is in our Food Enterprise where we are committed to serving food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with a complete range of innovative ingredients and branded products. Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Plant Administrator (18 month term) will greet clients and visitors at the front desk and answer incoming calls using a multiline telephone system. In this role, you will coordinate meeting room, handle administrative tasks and complete security procedures.  

Key Accountabilities

  • Handle and store mail securely to maintain the confidentiality of correspondence.
  • Perform mail distribution and data entry as part of your clerical responsibilities.
  • Enter routine data into standard forms and templates and archive paper and electronic documents.
  • Work within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision to coordinate, integrate and implement administrative or staff functions.
  • Handle basic clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma, secondary education level or equivalent
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Strong customer service skills with ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Schedule Flexibility
  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with Kronos or Payroll
  • Multitasking experience working in a fast-paced environment, with a diverse work group
