Credit Specialist
Job Purpose and Impact
Credit Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing credit and collections processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities
• Credit Management: Evaluate and analyze creditworthiness of customers, establish credit limits, and monitor credit exposure specific to the Vietnamese market
• Risk Mitigation: Develop strategies to mitigate credit risk, including Bank guarantees, LC, collateral management, etc & ensure proactive implementations
• Collections: Manage the collections process, including contacting customers in Vietnam for overdue payments, negotiating payment plans, and resolving disputes
• Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of credit and collections operations within the local context
• Reporting: Prepare and analyze reports on credit and collections performance, providing insights and recommendations to management
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements in Vietnam
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with sales, finance, customer service, Trade execution, & global teams to meet business expectations & customer relationships
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, MBA in Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit and collections roles, within Vietnam
• Significant expertise in Credit management, financial analysis, collection strategies & monitoring, experience of working with a product based corporate preferred
• Understanding of customers in Agri sector, preferably in swine farming & the industry-specific financial metrics and risks would be a bonus
• Excellent communication (in Vietnamese & English) and negotiation abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems, Power BI, Excel, PPT preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
• Understanding of the Vietnamese financial and regulatory environment
• Willing to travel to customer locations
