This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.
To perform all tasks related to the removal of finished product from production conveyor line, storage of finished product, and the loading of finished product into truck trailers and rail boxcars. Compliance to all company Environmental Health Safety(EHS) and Food Safety Quality Regulatory(FSQR) policies.

Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the operation and inspections of forklift and loading dock related equipment.
- Responsible to perform and document completion of assigned Master Sanitation Schedule(MSS) tasks.
- Comply to company’s Good Manufacturing Practices at all times.
- Know and understand finished product names and characteristics.
- Clean, organize, and maintain work areas.
- Constructively communicate with coworkers, customers, vendors, contractors, and truck drivers.
- Perform tasks in a safe manner that will prevent injury to self and others.
- Performs other related duties assigned by supervision, management, and lead Persons.
- Performs work in a cooperative, courteous, and efficient manner
- Complete daily reconciliation of process orders.
- Must understand and abide by Hutchinson Union Contract and Employee Production Handbook.
Requirements:
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
- Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.
- Able to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to operate machinery
- Experience operating a forklift and/or warehousing experience
- Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays with advance notice
- Have at least 1 year of experience in production related work.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in production related work
- Mechanical background
- Working knowledge of MS Office Software with an emphasis on Excel and Word
