Job Purpose and Impact
The Commodity Analyst will contribute to trade execution and trading games plan. In this role, you will handle system management, internal and external key stakeholders’ communication, trading games facilitation.
Key Accountabilities
- Prepare and share a weekly Market Intelligence & Reporting covering Pakistan commodity market trends, domestic pricing, parity & disparity (Soybean, Palm, Wheat & Corn), key developments and strategic insights on ongoing projects.
- Work closely with the current analyst/s and the trading team to understand and prepare Supply & demand (S&Ds) reports for oilseeds and grain commodities
- Maintain and analyze daily pricing data for Palm, Soybean, Soybean Meal, Soybean Oil, Wheat & Corn.
- Track soybean pricing/fixations and communicate updates to the commercial and trade execution teams
- Liaise with the Trade Execution team to ensure timely submission of documentation and smooth transaction flow
- Ensure Customer excellence and data alignment through collaboration with the Customer Excellence (CE) team
- Manage customer data (Top 10 customers), track required volumes and targets for all customers while ensuring alignment with commercial objectives
Maintain and update backend commercial data including daily price movements of BMD and other international markets (CBOT, Dollar Index), inventory records and delivery schedules, Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, stock positions and in-transit tracking, payment status for C&F customers (Country limits) and readily available cargo for delivery based on payment clearance - Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confirmed analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
