FFB Area Manager
Job Purpose and Impact
The FFB Area Manager will manage 3rd Party/Swadaya FFB. This includes administering the local Swadaya FFB buying program, conduct full market scanning covering smallholders, plantations, FFB suppliers, and CPO mills and prepare a comprehensive industry landscape map. In this role, you also need to provide insights into daily FFB market dynamics to support the development of local buying plans and strategies. You also need to participate in weekly origination discussions and providing production insights and contributing to planning, purchase and receive FFB in accordance with company’s quality standards. You may also oversee the delivery of goods to the mill, manage supplier relationships and ensure alignment with stakeholders on day‑to‑day operations and strategic direction.
Key Accountabilities
- Manages Swadaya/3rd Party FFB Origination program.
- Purchase FFB in specified and designated area in the most efficient manner.
- Lead the local customer relations function and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Ensure accurate FFB weighing and quality analysis in accordance with company standards.
- Manage logistical requirements for buying, storing, and transporting goods in the most economical and efficient manner.
- Prepare reports and provide trade or logistics information relevant to the business.
- Adhere to the company’s environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure all FFB meets Cargill’s supplier standards.
- Develop markets or new origination areas within 50–100 km radius.
- Provide daily market intelligence and updates on competitor movement.
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding the local team in daily operations and maintaining alignment with various stakeholders.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma III or Bachelor Degree in any field (preferable Bachelor of Science in Business Administration) or equivalet experience.
- Minimum 3 years working experience, preferable have experience in commercial function.
- Has good communication skills, English proficiency is not mandated but preferred
- Computer literate.
- Good working attitude, positive approach.
- Self-starter and proactive personality.
- Flexible and adaptive to changing conditions in the business/markets/industry
