Manufacturing Technology Engineer
Job Purpose and Impact
The Manufacturing Technology Engineer provides on‑site technical support to enhance process technology across milling, biogas, and ESG-related projects. The role involves conducting in‑depth root cause analysis, leading and co‑leading improvement initiatives to achieve optimal results, and ensuring full compliance with plant safety standards. This position also focuses on maximizing OER and KER, minimizing losses and operational costs, supporting operational excellence, and driving digitalization initiatives aligned with the company’s business transformation agenda.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure all manufacturing processes adhere to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies, while fostering a strong and proactive safety culture.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, maximize Oil Extraction Rate (OER) and Kernel Extraction Rate (KER), and minimize operational losses and costs.
- Provide technical expertise to support operational excellence initiatives, standardize best practices, and enhance overall plant reliability and productivity.
- Lead or participate in digitalization initiatives under the company’s business transformation plans, leveraging technology to optimize processes and strengthen data‑driven decision‑making.
- Conduct in‑depth investigations of process deviations, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions to ensure sustainable and reliable performance.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in the design and construction of mills, biogas facilities, water treatment systems, waste management facilities, and industrial buildings/warehouses.
- Preferable have 10 years of relevant experience in similar fields (plantation industry, mill & KCP, infrastructure construction, etc.).
- Strong knowledge and application of Indonesian mechanical codes and standards related to plant and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with contract and project management, including construction execution.
- Strong communication skills, with a flexible and confident working style.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English, both written and spoken.
- Solid experience in engineering design development.
- Hands‑on construction supervision experience and proven ability to collaborate effectively with construction teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and application of structural design software
- Knowledge and application of AutoCAD
- Experience in an Engineering Design Contractor environment
- Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer Status
- Knowledge and application of International Civil/Structural codes and standards relevant to Road, Drains and Bridges
