Senior Manager, Sustainability Food APAC
Job Purpose and Impact
- The Senior Manager, Sustainability Food APAC role will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the assigned sustainability programs and processes, related to regulatory affairs and compliance of our business and serve customers in the Food APAC region. In this role, you will be accountable for compliance under voluntary and regional/national schemes used to qualify our products for our customers. You will partner with internal cross-functional teams, outside industry groups and downstream customers to ensure the commercial optimization of our products. You will also play a key role in engaging customers in sustainability programs and offerings.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and execute the assigned sustainability programs to ensure compliance with internal and external audit standards and monitor team performance against customer expectations and sustainability goals
- Provide thought leadership and expertise to internal cross-functional teams, suppliers and customers on sustainability certification and compliance programs
- Coach internal cross-functional teams on interactions with sustainability certification program authorities and responses to audit-related corrective actions
- Stay up to date on external programs and certification standard update, legislation changes and market trends to identify potential business risks and opportunities
- Provide insights and input into Food APAC Sustainability strategy by incorporating soon-to-emerge opportunities and customer expectations
- Oversee sustainability program-related database and system management
- Support global responsible sourcing initiatives and workstreams
- Partner with internal cross-functional teams, suppliers and global sustainability resources to develop sustainable solutions to support customers in the Food APAC region
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in sustainability certification programs or auditing process in related fields.
• Minimum of six years of related work experience.
• Confirmed knowledge of best practices, methodologies and technologies in sustainability and customer or supplier engagement.
• Confirmed experience in cross-functional projects and executing sustainability programs with established approaches.
• Confirmed experience in a sustainability, operations, or commercial role.
• Experience related to the following certifications would be great: RSPO, MSPO, ISCC.
