Principal Accountabilities: 

  • Provide operational support in and around shaft elevators, feeders, conveyors, shaft walkways, openings, and screens to ensure salt product buildup and overflow are continuously removed, and work areas remain clean and operational
  • Service, inspect, and operate various mobile support equipment, including forklifts, trucks, tractors, and bobcats, as well as support production panels as needed
  • Perform routine tasks to ensure the reliable and functional operation of assets and equipment
  • Understand and comply with all safety policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or different shifts, with advance notice
  • High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years of equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work underground in a mining environment
  • Ability to get a routine background check and Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) "Explosives Possessor" background check: To ensure a safe working environment for all employees, we will conduct a criminal background check.
  • Ability to complete annual physical and D/A test
  • Ability to work under oxygen for up to 30 minutes and meet fit test requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Prior experience in production-related work
  • Experience in heavy construction and/or commercial construction
  • Previous mining experience
