Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Shift Supervisor ensures the operational management and coordination of a production team working on a shift schedule (morning, afternoon, night) during weekdays or weekends.

He/she is responsible for the smooth running of operations within their scope in terms of safety, food safety, quality, productivity, and team discipline.

He/she acts in compliance with the given instructions while maintaining functional autonomy in organizing work during their shift.

Key Accountabilities

  • Production management : Launch, monitor, and adjust manufacturing orders according to priorities. Manage flows in coordination with logistics, maintenance, and quality. Track performance indicators (OEE, yields, downtime, waste) and implement the necessary actions. Ensure reporting and traceability through digital tools and SAP.
  • Incident management : Identify process or quality deviations and secure situations. Implement initial corrective actions. Perform first-level diagnostics in case of breakdowns or non-conformities. Ensure incident follow-up.
  • Team management : Supervise and organize a team of operators and line drivers. Manage schedules and unforeseen events. Ensure compliance with rules and contribute to team engagement and skills development.
  • Communication & coordination : Ensure shift handovers and guarantee continuity of operations. Collaborate with support functions (maintenance, quality, logistics). Report key information and participate in operational routines.
  • Continuous improvement : Identify recurring malfunctions and propose improvement actions. Contribute to Lean / TPM initiatives and the evolution of production standards.
  • Safety, quality and environment : Ensure compliance with HSE, HACCP and GMP rules. Prevent process risks and ensure product compliance. Contribute to environmental best practices and energy efficiency.
  • Handle basic questions and issues under direct supervision, while escalating more complex matters to the appropriate personnel.
  • Other assigned tasks.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or Bac+2/3 with significant experience in industrial production.
  • Experience in a processing environment (food industry, chemicals, or pharmaceuticals).
  • Successful initial experience in shift team management preferred.
  • Proficiency in production monitoring tools (IT systems and/or shop floor tools).
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, and hygiene standards (HACCP, GMP).
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and prioritization skills.
  • Good organizational, responsiveness, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in French; professional level of English is a plus.
