Key Accountabilities
- Preparing shipping/receiving paperwork
- Data entry to our computer systems
- Work closely with the shipping warehouse, plant personnel
- Reconciliation of process/order sheets related to inventory management
- Support of clerical tasks related to the plant in shipping/receiving
- Communicate with trucking companies for delivering our products and bringing in ingredients (email, phone calls).
- Managing and maintaining inbound/outbound schedule
- Understanding how to troubleshoot and post order invoices
- Communicate with Local LTL carriers for daily pick up
- Interact directly with truckers and carriers
- Assist with routing of dedicated truck routes
- Coordinate with warehouses on site for deliveries/pick-ups
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 55lbs, kneeling, sitting, climbing, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Ability to use a computer and office equipment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel and Word
- Ability to work overtime including holidays, weekends with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 6 months or more experience in administrative roles, production or working at a warehouse
- Knowledge of the feed business and its logistical systems
- SAP or WMS experience in a warehouse environment
