This position is in Cargill’s food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Manufacturing Technology-Continuous Improvement Lead will provide technical subject matter expertise for manufacturing technology design standards, process capabilities, hazard analysis, performance monitoring, technical training and significant improvements for business processes. In this role, you will provide governance for the design standards across the engineering disciplines.
Key Accountabilities
• Deploy and develop standard operating processes and technical content across engineering disciplines for a given manufacturing technology and translate requirements in technology transfer packages and also be responsible for risk management.
• Support the development of technical education content and administer training of the technical competencies and minimum standards that must be achieved.
• Analyze plant performance metrics for a specific manufacturing technology and identify gaps in standards and implement improvements into design standards and technology transfer packages.
• Establish, advise and oversee auditing and compliance governance for the manufacturing technology.
• Stay informed on emerging technology developments in the industry and incorporate into the design requirements to ensure process designs maintain their capability to deliver the products or services to meet market requirements and internal or external risk tolerances and standards to reduce costs.
• Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical or industrial engineering or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Six sigma experience.
• Trained in statistically supported decision making or data analytics along with knowledge of advanced statistical software tools
• Cross functional experience in areas such as project engineering, operations supervision, continuous improvement or maintenance and reliability
• Demonstrated project management skills and demonstrated ability in working as a key member of a project team
