Buyer - Generalist (Cargill Bioindustrial) - Mairinque, São Paulo, or Uberlândia

Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.
Job Purpose and Impact
The General Buyer will support Cargill Bioindustrial's business by assisting the Mairinque/SP plant with purchasing activities in various business areas. In this role, you will carry out complex procurement tasks to provide information to the global category team.

Key Accountabilities
- Drive the implementation of regional sourcing decisions and provide support with the implementation of global sourcing decisions.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to optimize cost, terms, and total value (including payment terms, lead times, and risk mitigation).
- Identify and deliver cost savings, cost avoidance, and working capital improvements within assigned categories.
- Provide inputs to the global category team for category strategy development and execution.
- Provide comprehensive understanding of regional stakeholder and procurement landscape.
- Monitor continuous regional supplier and stakeholder relationships.
- Follow established procedures to select suppliers for procurement of noncontracted materials, goods, services and supplies.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Monitor supplier performance, risk, and compliance, supporting continuity of supply and mitigation of operational disruptions.
- Partner with plant and regional stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business needs and operational priorities.
- Support or lead contract development and execution in alignment with legal and procurement policies.
- Support data analysis and reporting to drive sourcing decisions and category insights.
Qualifications
• Experience in procurement Direct (Chemicals, Packaging, Ingredients), and indirect materials procurement (Spare Parts & Equipment and Maintenance & Technical & Professional & Facility Services procurement)
• Fluent or Advanced English level
• Proven experience in purchasing chemicals and ingredients for the industry - a plus
• Experience with SAP and a strong industrial background - a plus
