Job Purpose and Impact
The Technical Lead, Pet supports a multi-cultural global team to execute global priorities. We seek an experienced professional who will identify and execute new business development projects and lead, prioritize and report on the portfolio of new business development projects. In this role, you will drive process improvements supporting tools and metrics.
Key Accountabilities
Support global teams on nutrition, formulation, new offering development (portfolio, positioning, and differentiation of product offerings and technical support).
Develop strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with technical, formulation, sales and marketing leaders from the different markets to define priorities and identify opportunities.
Collaborate with R&D teams to translate scientific discoveries into market-ready products.
Promote integration of Cargill ingredients in new offering development
Develop training resources to provide guidance to the wider technical community to improve our value creation and sales effectiveness.
Support implementation of new global product concepts and claim development for finished products.
Provide technical guidance and facilitate palatability and digestibility trials.
Support market specific regulatory discussions.
Develop and maintain the community of pet technical experts within Cargill
You will serve as an expert in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues/problems. You may provide direction to lower-level team members and be a key contributor.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in animal nutrition or related degree
Six or more years related work experience in Canine and Feline nutrition
Knowledge of pet food ingredients and formulation
Customer-facing technical service experience
Experience presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to travel globally up to 50%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s or PhD in animal nutrition
Ability to converse in a secondary language (English or Mandarin)
