Job Purpose and Impact
The EMEA High Seas Trade Execution Coordinator is accountable for all waterborne sale and purchase contract execution activities for one or multiple flow(s) moderately and high complex flows and one or multiple product line applying full/thorough knowledge of trade execution practices and procedures such as International contract terms, import/export regulations, delivery and payment terms.
This role will execute activities in the area of business partnership, compliance, shipment execution and documentation as some activities related to workload management and development of new team members.
Key Accountabilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with complex customers, suppliers, and business partners while collaborating with trade execution teams across regions.
- Manage and follow up on complex contracts, ensuring alignment on quality, quantity, origin, delivery schedules, pricing, and payment terms, while advising commercial teams on contract conditions and risks.
- Coordinate closely with traders and merchants to ensure smooth and efficient execution of trades.
- Oversee shipment execution by liaising with agents, port authorities, supervision companies, and service providers, including managing ETAs and resolving operational issues.
- Monitor and adjust ocean transportation plans, including vessel voyage changes, to support optimal logistics execution.
- Contribute to logistics and shipment strategy by partnering with Commercial and Planning teams, including participation in site visits to support operational efficiency.
- Track and monitor end-to-end logistics performance (origin to destination), proactively identifying deviations, risks, and opportunities for improvement during execution.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
- Fluency in English and French
- International Commodity Contracts (GAFTA, FOSFA)+ Incoterms
- Computer skills: MS Office, SharePoint is a must.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP knowledge is a plus.
- Ocean freight knowledge
- 5+ years of experience is advantage.
