This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.
Job Purpose and Impact
The General Laborer, will perform routine and repetitive physical production and warehouse responsibilities following established policies and procedures with frequent guidance. In this role, you will support production operations while following all food safety and regulatory polices as required.

Job Type: Full Time
Shift(s) Available: Day or evening 12h shift + 0.60/h shift differential
Compensation: $27.56/hr.

Key Accountabilities
- Perform repetitive positioning of materials and parts for production per direct instructions.
- Convey materials and items within production and warehouse areas other designated areas by hand, hand truck, electric hand truck or forklift.
- Lift and stack materials, products, tools or equipment.
- Hand pack product into materials.
- Understand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc.. with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Basic use of a computer
- Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays with advance notice
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift experience
- High School diploma or Equivalent job experience
