Job Purpose and Impact
The Network Design Specialist will have key responsibilities in developing network optimization models for the region (primary focus) and globally. The position requires a strong knowledge in modeling, being capable of maximizing the software functionalities to guarantee the correct design of operations into modeling language and extract the best optimized results to guide tactical and strategic business decisions. Working closely with the business, main responsibilities include large data sets management, scenarios alignments and model development in Supply Chain Guru®. The challenge for the coming years is to standardize quality assurance modeling procedures and leverage functionalities which improve value of projects performance, productivity, credibility and results.
This position will be part of Food Global Supply Chain Network Design team, growing global central team that is well-versed in the design and optimization of business networks to the large and diverse Cargill businesses within Food. This team leads optimization projects for businesses to find synergies opportunities, reduce costs and drive growth.
Key Accountabilities
Modeling:
- Focal point to understand business requirement and build network design and optimization models from scratch with limited guidance.
- Develop scenario planning and network cost scenarios comparison.
- Guarantee accuracy and effectiveness of the models results generated.
Data Management:
- Data management and utilization of information in appropriate areas, which includes data gathering, extracting, cleansing, structuring and providing analytics and insights.
- Lead data input and output within modeling software translating reality of processes into modeling structures and polices to support network modeling (Tactic, Strategic).
- Identify gaps and issues in the data and proactively provide resolutions to close the gap.
Project Management:
- Support the creation of reports and presentations for projects.
- Conduct meetings with all SMEs levels with focus on data base template structure, content validation, and continuous improvement matters with data base quality and accuracy.
- Work closely with the project manager and stakeholders to provide project tracking.
Process:
- Guarantee quality assurance procedures and documentation for the modeling process stages and high standard quality of data base control.
- Actively participate and contribute to the improvement plans related to Global Standards - processes, modeling functionalities and technologies.
- Promote process continuous improvement and replicate best practices across community – local, regional and global.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Engineering - all fields, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Administration or related field or equivalent experience
- Experience working in Supply Chain (Design, Transportation, Warehousing or Supply Planning functions) or Operations (Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing, LSS).
- Experience with optimization tools such as Supply Chain Guru®, Gurobi®, CAST®, LogicNet®, AIMSS®, etc.
- Advanced English.

- Experience in industries like FMCG, food, chemicals, agricultural or supply chain consulting companies.
- Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau® or Power BI®.
- Experience with data tools such as Access, SQL, Alteryx®, KNIME® or Data Guru®.
- Experience with optimization tool Supply Chain Guru®.
- Desirable Spanish.
