Business Development Manager Gourmet

Job Purpose and Impact
The Business Development Manager Gourmet, will develop ways to increase sales and revenue from new and existing market segments and channels for the gourmet portfolio. In this role, you will support broader go to market initiatives, identify new business opportunities and commercial partnerships across the gourmet portfolio. In an entrepreneurial environment, with a hands-on mentality and in close partnership with cross-functional stakeholders, you will develop and implement business growth plans and support and participate in activities of marketing, sales and product line management to reach the growth objectives.
Key Accountabilities
- Identify and assess customer needs and translate it into business development strategy to capture commercial sales.
- Accountable for implementation of sales plans (annual and long-term) while providing strategies to protect, grow and diversify value growth with targeted gourmet customers.
- Drive NBD / NPSS initiatives to actively manage the opportunity pipeline (customers and solutions) and deliver growth with GTM sales and technical teams.
- Acquire new customers to help launch new products / applications in conjunction with R&D, product line management, marketing and supply chain.
- Build, monitor and revise lead generation plans to develop substantive sales opportunities and report out on results.
- Monitor competitor’s products, sales and marketing activities, provide insights to support gourmet pricing strategy based on competitive pricing analysis and customers willingness to pay / value in use.
- Monitor and support (trade) marketing activities to align with gourmet business goals.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of four years of related work experience
- Other minimum qualifications may apply
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree or other post-secondary degree
- Five to ten years experience in combined sales, marketing and business development.
PRIOR BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCES
- Experience with developing strategic and regional accounts
- Experience in Bakery and Snack & Cereals categories
- Recognize and pursue new market segments and opportunities for business development, calculating return and investment.
- Collaborate with other business developers to optimize market segment opportunities.
