Job Purpose and Impact
The Trade Assistant will be part of our CASC Biodiesel team and will provide support on trading related activities to enable the trading team to achieve customer goals. In this role, you will partner with commercial team and other functions, handle trade entry, amendments, and scheduling. You will lead position maintenance, daily P&L reconciliation, cash book preparation and maintenance, contract amendments as well as various reporting and ad-hoc requests which arise on a regular basis. We’re looking for a professional for the long-run who can become our back-office and process expert, with an eye for detail and continuous improvement mindset.
Key Accountabilities
- Support trade capture, trade entry, amendments of contractual data and valuation parameters.
- Keep the trading position of the desk updated throughout the day with trades, nominations and date changes and perform reconciliation of daily positions.
- Help traders in collate and report market indicators used for dashboard.
- Collate data and create the balanced scorecard document on a monthly basis.
- Support ad hoc requests to collaborate with global teams to rectify issues.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Fluent in English.
Good communication skills.
Computer literate with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Minimum of two years of related work experience
Other minimum qualifications may apply
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in trading and/or shipping environment is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in business or shipping; or equivalent experience
Familiar with basic financial concepts and contract management.
