Job Purpose and Impact

The Chocolate Product Director will lead commercial impact for an organization with a varied portfolio of products, services and customers. In this role, you will manage the performance of the local merchandising team and coordination of commercial activities for the category. You will collaborate with global teams to execute programs with significant financial impact, to drive the growth agenda of the business.

Key Accountabilities

  • Foster the relationships between the trading and merchandising, plant operations and origination teams and the accounting, finance, risk management and credit departments.
  • Establish short and long term merchandising strategies, game plans, margin structure and objectives for business processes and oversee commodity trading to ensure the overall success of product line, in alignment with the functional strategy of the overall business product line.
  • Leverage customer insights and innovative ideas to build compelling and competitive product offering that differentiates our company from others.
  • Collaborate with the cross regional and product line stakeholders to develop and deploy the short and long term business plans including revenue projections and capital projects to ensure strategic objections and goals are met.
  • Collaborate with other downstream enterprises to explore, identify and implement incremental profit pools by leveraging their go to market strategies.
  • Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, international management or related field or equivalent experience,
  • Proven understanding of merchandising and risk management
  • Experience in Chocolate Product Line is a MUST

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years of supervisory experience
