Principal Accountabilities:
- Primarily duties include operating processing equipment and backup for various other plant production roles
- Optimize drying including loader break relief
- Mobile equipment operation including front-end loader/ forklifts/etc
- Bulk truck loading coordination- primarily trailer hatch management
- Van truck staging on overflow parking lot when needed
- Process building housekeeping
- Salt storage pad housekeeping
- Collect samples/perform quality testing.
- High wall pile management
- Coordinate hauling of trash salt/recycle bales
- Use of a computer in the processing office to monitor equipment in the building
- Forklift operations
- Setup and operation of packaging equipment
- Entry of production related information into computers
- Experienced at problem solving with co-workers
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and in a positive manner
Required Qualifications:
- A right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Cargill requires employees to be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.
- Ability to perform physical job duties, which may include shoveling, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in production related work
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience operating a front-end loader and forklift
- Experience with SAP and/or HMI
- Experience operating and troubleshooting industrial equipment (ex., packaging machinery, etc.)
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbally or in writing)
