Principal Accountabilities
- Responsible for monitoring and upkeep of all Ammonia Refrigeration systems
- Perform shift audits of boilers, steam plant and all steam end users
- Test and treat boiler feed water; monitors RO and water softeners
- Observes boiler, condensate, and feed water systems units to detect malfunctions. Make adjustments and repairs as required
- Maintain log of meter and gauge readings and records data such as water test results, quantity of fuel consumed, temperature and pressures
- Assist with troubleshooting, analyzing and repair of electrical control systems
- Willing and able to work a schedule covering 24/7/365
- Perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Specific Eye Requirements: no contact lenses allowed in engine room when welding or electrical troubleshooting and repair
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- State Technical School apprenticeship and/or Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or an accredited Industrial Refrigeration, Boiler Tech program or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have knowledge of compressed air systems
- Must be able to train and be certified in Hazmat Level A Entry
- Must be dependable and have the ability to work flexible hours and/or shifts
- Must be detail oriented
- Must be a team player, but also work well alone
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous production/maintenance/refrigeration experience
- RETA or IIAR Certification a plus
- Industrial Ammonia/Refrigeration and Electrical experience preferred
