Job Purpose and Impact

The Ruminant Young Animal Technology Lead will provide advanced knowledge and thought leadership to proactively support the ruminant young animal offering in the management of a complex and strategically important product portfolio. In this role, you will support other product specialists and assist in the execution of product line plans, including launches and product management to ensure the provision of the correct product portfolio. #LI-AM4 #LI-Remote 

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide support to build and execute the strategy for a large, technically complex and strategic ruminant product line globally.

  • Staying abreast of, and partnering collaboratively, with technical, domain-specific research and team members for product line support, as needed.

  • Optimize the product line portfolio to ensure the coherence and value of the portfolio in terms of functionality, reducing unnecessary complexity and identifying gaps.

  • Develop and maintain the content of the product line material.

  • Deliver product line and service training.

  • Ensure a safe working environment and compliance of product safety.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in animal science or equivalent experience
  • In-depth ruminant young animal nutrition and management knowledge
  • Technical knowledge of the biochemistry of the feed ingredients used in feeds for young animals
  • Practical experience in the functionality of the ingredients in relevant applications
  • Previous strong work experience in ruminant young animal nutrition
  • Ability to travel up to 40% globally
  • Advanced English skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree, PhD or other post-secondary degree in animal science
  • Strong work experience in ruminant young animal nutrition
  • Understanding of the ruminant young animal nutrition industry in China, Europe and Americas
  • Passion for talent development
  • Strategic business acumen – customer segments, customer needs, industry priorities, growth & value propositions
  • Customer facing technical knowledge experience
  • Ability to work in global teams and matrixed environments.
  • Ability to Influence and drive of impact toward business goals
