This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.
The role is responsible for correctly, safely and efficiently processing, packaging and warehousing salt products for a salt manufacturing and packaging facility.

Shift Available: Rotating shift
Compensation: $20.00/hr plus $0.45 shift differential
Principal Accountabilities:
Operating salt conveying equipment, operation of packaging and related equipment, operating mobile equipment. This can include, but is not limited to, working with bulk trucks, rail hoppers and box cars
Ensures proper storage, loading and shipping/receiving of packaged products
Strict compliance with safe work rules, good housekeeping practices and specified FSQR policies / procedures / standards
Input production and downtime information into SAP and RT DUETT
Minor maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
Perform any miscellaneous duties as assigned including but not limited to: minor maintenance tasks, preventative maintenance tasks, housekeeping tasks, product quality testing tasks, confined space entries (bin entries), repalletizing / disposal of distressed products, etc.
Requirements:
Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable
Must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc.
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Ability to operate machinery
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Basic use of a computer
Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays with advance notice
Preferred:
At least (1 year) of experience in a production or plant environment
Forklift experience
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience with Inventory Systems
