This position is in Cargill’s food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Account Manager role will help drive growth for the Home & Packaging Category within the Industrial Technologies Segment through participation in face to face and remote selling to new and existing customers. In this role, you will focus primarily within our Flooring and Furniture applications, prospecting and cultivating opportunities with Forest Products and Adhesives related companies, bringing together technical knowledge from the business with Cargill Bioindustrial’s ability to manage complex and global value chains.
Key Accountabilities
- Follow key industry trends, identify prospects, and perform customer outreach activities.
- Development and delivery of sales proposals and conducting detailed presentations for effective product demonstration.
- Build a business plan for each account developing strong client relationships.
- Plan daily activities, including customer visits and establish quantitative and qualitative objectives to achieve.
- Closely manage and advance a sales pipeline utilizing CRM tools and business cycle planning.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
- Driver's license in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Commodity markets experience
- Industrial chemical applications experience
- Business to Business sales experience
Position Information
- Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
- Travel is required to cover the area of responsibility.
- This position is located in Wayzata, MN
- Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.
- The expected salary for this position is $72,500 - 100,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
