Job Purpose and Impact


This role of Inside Sales Account Manager is part of the Food Solutions America organization in Cargill’s Food & Bio-Industrial platform located in Wayzata, MN. The Inside Sales Account Manager will, with guidance, sell directly to food manufacturers in the food & beverage industry offering Starches, Sweeteners, Texturizers, Edible Oils & Shortening, Cocoa and Chocolate. In this role, you will evaluate customer needs, suggest appropriate products, services, and solutions. The Inside Sales Account Manager  will conduct in person and virtual sales calls with new and existing customers. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Help identify potential customers and handle existing customer relationships. 
  • With guidance conduct market research, price discovery, sales and merchandising activities. 
  • Monitor industry trends, customer and competitor activity.  
  • Protect, grow and diversify the relationship with targeted customers. 
  • Support business growth by disseminating favorable information about the organization’s products and services. 
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff. 
  • Find new customers with business development activities 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience 
  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight up to 20% 
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Package 


Preferred Qualifications 

  • Proficient in the use of Customer Relationship Management tools 

Position Information

  • Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position. 
  • Travel is required to cover the area of responsibility. 
  • This position is flexible and requires to be on  site based on business need. 
  • Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.
