Job Purpose and Impact

The Director, Packaged Truck Operations role will control the flow of raw and finished goods, services and information from beginning to end in order to meet customer or manufacturing requirements for less complex products or customers. In this role, you will direct and run the activities of the team who evaluates distribution and transportation operations, data and less complex facilities to identify the most effective distribution, and transportation patterns for products. You will use broad knowledge to establish policies appropriate for the function and interpret and recommend modifications to company policies and practices.



Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee the assignments to be completed and identify long range goals and priorities.
  • Direct the execution and continuous improvement of logistics processes.
  • Integrate market intelligence from operation entities, distribution, transportation, suppliers, and customers to continuously improve competition plans.
  • Direct the activities of coordinators and support staff doing data entry and data management of carrier, customer, vendor, inventory, and shipment data.
  • Lead, advise and make decisions on all major logistics and transportation activities.
  • Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience
  • Ability up to travel up to 15%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years of supervisory experience
  • Data analytics experience

• Location: KS-Wichita; Relocation support may be provided.
