This position is in our Food Enterprise where we are committed to serving food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with a complete range of innovative ingredients and branded products. Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Specialist, Customer Service will support a full scale of highly complex customer service activities for a country or multi site team. In this role, you will proactively maintain an ongoing relationship with strategic customers and sales staff, provide pricing, availability and schedule information within established guidelines, independently resolve complex issues and review and create moderately complex reports for analytics.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain systems and strategic relationships that meet customer demand forecast, as well as other databases related to shipments and inventory management.
- Use thorough knowledge of complex customer service practices and procedures to independently validate and execute customer service strategies.
- Advise customers about order status, invoices, contract balances and other information needed to complete the sale.
- Be a key member on improvement projects and commitments requiring a comprehensive understanding of customer service practices and procedures.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Demonstration of high level product and process knowledge
- Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
Position Details
• Location: St. Clair, MI, Wichita, KS, Eddyville, IA, Cedar Rapids, IA or Gainesville, GA; Relocation assistance is not provided for this role
• Schedule is Monday - Friday, typically from 8:00am to 4:30pm. This position also requires rotating on call shifts
