This position is in Cargill’s agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make and deliver essential products.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Virtual Advisor will help service our MarketSense portfolio of technical and non-technical products, services and solutions directly to current and new customers. In this role, you will handle critical or complex products that require excellent client relationship skills to maintain competitive positioning.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop a plan to establish and maintain account relationships and meet personal targets.
  • Build a business plan for each account.
  • Coordinate use of resource to provide value added services to accounts.
  • Develop strong client relationships that provide significant input to planning product, price and service strategies.
  • Support territory leadership and other grain & crop inputs sales professionals in developing new market opportunities in the designated territory or market.
  • Coaching and mentoring of the national advisory team.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma/Certificate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous advisory work experience within the agricultural industry and a deep understanding of agricultural products and services.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Previous experience presenting and influencing both internal & external stakeholders.

Position Information

  • This position is open to a remote work option.
  • This position is a 20-Month term contract.
